The global market for bottled is set to reach $280 billion by 2020. The bottled water industry is immense and on the rise. Whilst we advocate the drinking of water here at Eco-bottles, there are too many adverse issues that accompany the average bottled water company.
Reduce Carbon Footprint
Bottled water is imported from countries thousands of miles away (such as the US and Fiji). This releases co2 into the atmosphere making the carbon footprint several hundred times more than drinks such as tap water. This process was described by the former environmental secretary as “Making no ecological sense.”
Healthier Than Your Average Bottle
The other main concern with bottled water is the bottle itself. The type of plastic used is called Polyethylene terephthalate (PET.) When warm, PET releases Bisphenol A (BPA) into the bottle, thus releasing a potentially hazardous chemical into the water.
Personalise your bottle
The Eco bottle can be provided in a range of colours to suit your needs. We can provide a personalised bottle (a minimum order is required) with the design of your choice. This could be an environmentally friendly message, warnings of co2, global warming, carbon footprints or even company/school logos. We let you design the product to promote the message you would like to communicate.
Here at Eco Bottles we strongly promote the drinking of water, but in a healthy, environmentally friendly manner. We are a UK based organisation and rely on no imports from foreign countries, thus emitting less co2 into the air. We use a high-density polythene plastic as opposed to PET, and therefore our bottles release no BPA to contaminate the water. Our bottles are designed for re-use so after a one-off payment, the bottle is usable for life. The bottle can be cleaned with any washing product, including dishwashers at high temperatures without the danger of hazardous chemicals being released and keeping it bacteria free.
